Wilsons Talks Eco-Friendly Dog Food

In a bid to reduce our use of plastic packaging, over the past six months we have made changes to the packaging of both our Raw Frozen and Cold Pressed dog food ranges. At Wilsons, we aim to provide our customers with 100% natural, British dog food produced using the best ingredients in our Scottish factories. We craft Premium, quality ranges that are truly good for dogs and now, with a more positive impact on the environment.

Both our Premium and Core Raw Frozen ranges are available in our new eco-friendly packaging, the trays used are compostable whilst the cardboard sleeve is widely recyclable. We are thrilled to be placing such emphasis on reducing our use of plastic to help to combat wider environmental issues, especially when it comes to our Raw Frozen dog food. We were one of the first major Pet Food suppliers to move to completely recyclable and compostable packaging for raw dog food. 

Our soon to be launching, brand new eco range of Premium Cold Pressed dog food is also now in our eco packs, available in 2kg and 10kg carboard outer boxes with a recyclable inner paper bag. We understand the need to reuse and recycle, and therefore have provided the option to buy a refill bag when it comes to reordering in comparison to buying a new box. This will allow our customers to reuse their outer box for as long as they wish, with our paper refill bag available in both the 2kg and 10kg Premium sizes. Not only is our Premium Cold Pressed range now available in eco packs, our Working Dog Cold Pressed will also be relaunched in a new recyclable 15kg paper bag.
